About Us

DU APECE-EEE Alumni Association

In 1965, a new department named Applied Physics was established at the University of Dhaka. To meet the demands and challenges of changing times, the department underwent several name changes over the years. Accordingly, in 1974, it was renamed Applied Physics and Electronics, and in 2005, it became Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering (APECE). Finally, in 2014, the department was renamed Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).

As a result of the initiative and dedicated efforts of the department’s alumni, an organization named APE Alumni was established on August 1, 2003. Following subsequent changes in the department’s name, the organization was renamed APECE-EEE Alumni Association in 2015. More recently, with the addition of the abbreviation of the University of Dhaka (DU), it is now known as the DU APECE-EEE Alumni Association.

You will be pleased to know that our beloved association was officially registered with the Department of Social Services of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on August 6, 2023.
